Day 1 – St. Catherine’s Monastery Tour Begins with Transfer to St. Catherine

One the day your St. Catherine’s Monastery Tour is scheduled for, you will be picked up by our tour representative and a driver, and you will be driven in a clean and modern air-conditioned vehicle to St. Catherine which is about a 6-hour drive from the capital.

On arrival at St. Catherine, you will be driven to the 5-Star hotel where you will be spending the night, and then you will have the remainder of the day to yourself.

Day 2 – Moses Mountain Hike; St. Catherine’s Monastery Tour, and Return to Cairo

Your St. Catherine’s Monastery tour gets off to a very early start today, leaving your hotel at around 02h00 so that you have ample time for your hike to the top of Moses Mount, which also known as Mount Sinai. An experienced Bedouin guide will accompany you on the hike which will take place at a nice pleasant pace. Hiking up this holy mountain in the dark is a truly incredible experience, and it is made even more rewarding when you reach the top and you witness an absolutely magnificent sunrise.

After watching the sun come up, you will then head for your St. Catherine’s Monastery tour. This spectacular monastery which was dedicated to St. Catherine, one of Alexander’s rulers, is today one of the most famous monasteries in the world.

Following your tour of the monastery, you will return to your hotel in time for a good breakfast, and then you will check-out, and you will be driven back to your hotel in Cairo.
